Quick answer

The DXY forecast into 1 July reads dollar-bid. The US Dollar Index sits at 101.20, up more than 2% on the month for a second straight monthly advance, with a higher low carved in late June. A hawkish Warsh Fed, front-end yields firm and a Middle East energy premium have erased 2026 rate-cut bets. ADP, ISM and Sintra headline today, NFP lands tomorrow.

Named levels the desk is watching

Upside liquidity

↑ 101.50 · near-term resistance shelf just above spot, the first pool of stops above the 101 handle.

↑ 102.00 · round-number objective on the next leg up, the natural magnet if the higher-high thesis validates.

Downside liquidity

↓ 100.50 · first support on a pullback, the shelf that must hold to keep the resumption clean.

↓ 100.00 · psychological handle and the higher-low floor the entire resumption is built on. Lose it and the bullish read goes on pause.

The macro setup behind this DXY forecast

The dollar is not drifting. It is closing a strong stretch and heading into the data run with the trend on its side. DXY at 101.20 marks a second straight monthly advance north of 2%, the strongest run since last summer, and the tape carved a higher low into late June that structurally points at a higher high. The bid is not accidental. It is being fed by a Fed that turned hawkish on 17 June, when Chair Warsh held the target range at 3.50 to 3.75% and leaned the message toward a hike, and by an energy and haven premium out of the Middle East that has done the rest of the work.

The Fed repricing is the story. This year’s rate-cut bets have been erased. The Federal Reserve’s own policy path now leans some of the market toward a possible September hike, and every jobs, wage and inflation print between now and then matters more because Warsh has made the desk explicitly data-dependent. The majors are confirming the read. EUR/USD at 1.1407 has rebounded from a one-year low but is fighting the 1.14 to 1.15 triple-top neckline. GBP/USD at 1.3235 has eased from the mid-1.34s and is trading under its 50 and 100-day moving averages. Gold at 3,987 is inside the 3,951 to 4,114 range near an eight-month low, heading for a fourth straight monthly decline of about 11%. Different assets, same signal.

The historical template matters here. A Fed turning relatively hawkish versus the rest of the world has historically driven a sustained dollar leg once a higher low validates, and that is the exact set-up now that the 101 handle is holding. Today lines up three consecutive tests of the thesis. ADP National Employment Change is due, consensus roughly +118,000 against +122,000 prior, a first labour read into the payrolls window. ISM Manufacturing PMI lands at 10:00 ET, with the desk watching the prices-paid sub-index as the inflation tell (May printed 54.0). Then Warsh sits on the ECB Sintra Forum policy panel at about 13:00 GMT alongside Lagarde, Bailey and Macklem, his first major international appearance as Chair. Non Farm Payrolls, brought forward to tomorrow ahead of 4 July, is the week’s main event. Yesterday’s JOLTS came in strong, keeping the labour-market read firm into all of it. Trade the dollar regime, not the noise

A hawkish Fed and a huge data week mean faster moves and wider intraday ranges. The edge is gone the moment your spread blows out or your fill slips at the level that matters. Multi-timeframe read

On the daily chart, DXY at 101.20 is a second straight monthly higher close, and the late-June pause resolved into a higher low. Structure points at a higher high next. The move is not overextended, it is a resumption off a base, and the 101 round handle has held into the London open. Above spot the near-term liquidity sits at 101.50, and beyond that the 102.00 round is the natural draw if the majors continue to confirm.

The H4 tape reads clean. Higher low, higher low, no distributive top, no obvious rejection wick refusing to close. The intraday behaviour into 08:30 BST held the 101 handle bid without a defended-low pattern forming yet, which is what you would expect at the start of a data day. The cross-asset confirmation is what matters more than any single-timeframe indicator. Cable trading under the 50 and 100-day moving averages, EUR/USD respecting the 1.14 to 1.15 neckline, and gold offered into an eight-month low are the three cleanest tells that dollar strength is not a DXY-only technical, it is a regime. The MACRO MASTERY desk covers ADP, ISM and NFP live as the prints land, which is where the multi-timeframe read gets stress-tested in real time.

Below spot, the 100.50 shelf is the first pullback support, and 100.00 is the higher-low floor. A rejection that holds 100.50 keeps the tape aligned with the trend. A sustained loss of 100.00 is a different conversation and is covered in the invalidation card below. Scenario map for this DXY forecast

Bull scenario, dollar higher high validates. ADP prints in line or above +118,000, ISM manufacturing holds expansion territory with prices paid firm, and Warsh strikes a hawkish tone at Sintra. Front-end yields press higher, EUR/USD gives up 1.14 and the triple-top neckline holds as resistance, gold loses 3,950 and the range breaks lower. In this configuration DXY tends to drift through the 101.50 shelf and lean toward the 102.00 round. NFP tomorrow becomes the accelerant if wages come in hot. The 100.50 support keeps the pullbacks orderly, and the higher-low structure stays intact.

Bear scenario, the resumption pauses. ADP misses hard, ISM slips under 50 with prices paid softening, and Warsh softens the Sintra message to acknowledge growth risk. Front-end yields ease, EUR/USD grinds back into the 1.14 to 1.15 middle, gold bounces off 3,950. In this configuration DXY tends to drift back into 100.50 and probes the 100.00 higher-low floor. A daily close under 100.00 is the level that would flip the multi-week structure from resumption to range, and NFP tomorrow becomes the referee. The bullish read does not die at 100.00, it goes on pause pending the next confirmation.

What would invalidate the read

A daily close below 100.00 is the structural invalidation. An ADP miss combined with an ISM prices-paid drop under 50, or a dovish pivot from Warsh at Sintra reframing the September pricing, would each be single-print catalysts. A soft NFP tomorrow with cooling wages would compound the case. Any of those in isolation cracks the thesis; two together end it until the tape rebuilds a base.

Final takeaway

The DXY forecast into 1 July is that the dollar is resuming higher off a validated higher low, and the majors, the yields and the gold tape are all pointing the same way into a data run that will either confirm or deny it inside 48 hours. 101.50 and 102.00 are the upside liquidity pools if ADP, ISM and Warsh cooperate. 100.50 and 100.00 are the pivots that decide whether the resumption keeps its shape or goes on pause. The desk is reading the tape, not the story. For the wider dollar regime and the read into H2 2026, the US dollar outlook is the desk’s longer-horizon reference. For the euro leg specifically, the EUR/USD forecast covers the neckline fight in detail. Same stack a hedge-fund analyst runs every morning, delivered via MACRO MASTERY.

FAQ

What is the DXY forecast for 1 July 2026?

The DXY forecast into 1 July reads dollar-bid off a validated higher low, with the index at 101.20 and structure pointing at a higher high. Upside liquidity sits at 101.50 and 102.00. Downside supports are 100.50 and 100.00. Today’s ADP, ISM and Warsh at Sintra, then NFP tomorrow, are the three catalysts that will confirm or pause the resumption.

Why is the US dollar rallying in June and July 2026?

Two forces are underwriting the bid. First, Kevin Warsh’s Fed held the target range at 3.50 to 3.75% on 17 June with a hawkish, hike-leaning message, and 2026 rate-cut bets have been erased. Second, a Middle East energy premium has pushed crude higher and firmed front-end yields. Together they leave the dollar as the relative-strength currency into a data-dependent second half.

What data does the dollar face this week?

ADP National Employment Change lands today with consensus near +118,000 versus +122,000 prior. ISM Manufacturing PMI prints at 10:00 ET, and the prices-paid sub-index is the inflation tell. Warsh joins Lagarde, Bailey and Macklem at the ECB Sintra Forum around 13:00 GMT. Non Farm Payrolls has been brought forward to 2 July ahead of the 4 July holiday, the week’s main event.

What level would invalidate the bullish dollar read?

A daily close below the 100.00 psychological handle is the structural invalidation. That is the higher
