When a broker carries the Route Checked badge, it means the desk has assessed it through our broker route methodology. It is an editorial research check, not a rating, a guarantee or regulatory approval.
What we check
Entity and regulation
Which legal entity you would actually open with, and which regulator stands behind it (FCA, ASIC, CySEC, FSCA or an offshore body).
Platform availability
Whether the platforms the broker advertises (MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView) are really available on that entity.
Account types
The account structure, and which one fits a macro or gold trader versus a beginner.
Cost and spread information
Published spread and commission information where the broker discloses it.
Country fit
Whether the route makes sense for your country, and which entity you would be onboarded to.
Trader-type fit
Whether it suits a beginner, funded, high-leverage, gold or macro trader.
Watch-outs
The honest caveat: offshore protection, leverage caps, deposit minimums or bonus conditions.
Affiliate disclosure
Whether the desk has a commercial relationship with the broker, stated plainly.
What Route Checked is NOT
It is not a guarantee of safety. It is not regulatory approval or endorsement. It does not mean the broker is risk-free or that you will make money. It does not replace your own due diligence. Always verify the live entity, terms and regulation directly with the broker before you deposit. Trading carries risk and you can lose more than your deposit.
Cadence: Route Checked pages are reviewed and re-dated periodically as broker terms change. Disclosure: the desk earns a commission if you open an account with Blueberry, VT Markets or Star Trader through our links, at no extra cost to you. This never changes the watch-outs we publish.
