Blueberry Markets Regulation and Entity Explained (2026)
By Ken Chigbo, founder of KenMacro, 2026-06-07. Regulation and entity explained. KenMacro is a Blueberry Markets affiliate partner.
At Blueberry Markets the entity you are onboarded under decides your leverage cap and your protection, and it depends on where you live. Australian retail clients sit under a Tier-1 ASIC licence. International clients are typically placed under an offshore Mauritius entity with lighter protection. Here is the honest detail.
The entities, and what each one means
What protection you actually get, and what you give up
- Under ASIC (AFSL 535887): Tier-1 oversight, capital and client-money segregation rules, automatic negative balance protection, and access to the AFCA complaints scheme. Leverage is capped at 1:30 on major forex pairs.
- Under the offshore Mauritius entity: higher available leverage and broader conditions, but no statutory compensation fund and lighter conduct rules. You have recourse through the regulator’s complaints process, not a guaranteed payout if the broker fails.
- The trade-off is simple: the ASIC entity gives you the strongest protection and the lowest leverage; the offshore entity gives you more leverage and less protection. Neither is wrong, as long as you know which you are on.

What entity am I under if I am outside Australia?
International clients are typically placed under Blueberry’s offshore Mauritius FSC entity, which offers higher leverage but lighter protection and no statutory compensation scheme. Confirm your exact entity at signup before you fund.
