The Broker the Desk Actually Trades | KenMacro
Broker Reviews, the desk’s verdict
By Ken Chigbo, founder and macro trader, KenMacro. Updated 2026-06-04.
The desk’s verdict
As of June 2026 the KenMacro desk routes its live trades through VT Markets, chosen for raw multi-asset spreads across FX, metals, oil and indices plus MT4, MT5 and TradingView execution under ASIC and FSCA regulation.
The short answer
The KenMacro desk trades through VT Markets. I picked it for raw spreads across FX, metals, oil and indices, plus MT4, MT5 and TradingView under ASIC and FSCA. VT does not accept UK clients. Blueberry Markets is my all-round editor’s choice and Star Trader covers high leverage.
Not a faceless list
This is not a comparison site that has never placed a trade. The desk trades these brokers live and posts the wins and the losses in the open, so you can see exactly what we are recommending and why. Judge it on the trades, not on our word.
The desk’s picks
| Broker | Best for | |
|---|---|---|
| VT Markets | The broker the desk trades | Open |
| Blueberry Markets | Editor’s choice all-rounder | Open |
| Star Trader | For high leverage | Open |
The account my desk routes live trades through. Raw and low spreads across FX, metals, oil and indices, MT4, MT5, TradingView and copy trading, low minimum deposit, regulated by ASIC and FSCA. Does not accept UK clients.
My sitewide default pick. Australian, ASIC regulated under AFSL 535887, with MT4, MT5, TradingView and cTrader, raw spreads, fast execution and responsive support. The safe all-round choice if you want one solid broker.
The pick when leverage is the priority, up to 1:1000 with a roughly fifty dollar minimum on MT4 and MT5. Offshore, so lighter regulatory protection. Useful for a small high-leverage account, not for a core balance.
This is not a top ten list
Most broker pages give you ten logos and a sponsored ranking. I run a real macro desk. I trade live, I post wins and I post losses, and the trades go through an actual account at an actual broker. So instead of a list, here is the one broker my desk routes real money through, and the honest reasoning behind it. You can watch the desk trade and judge whether the choice holds up.
The broker the desk trades: VT Markets
My desk executes through VT Markets. The reasons are practical, not promotional. I trade macro, which means I move between FX, metals, oil and index CFDs depending on where the central bank and liquidity story is. I need one account that handles all of those with raw or low spreads, because spread is a cost I pay on every position and it compounds over a trading year. VT gives me that across the assets I actually touch. It runs MT4, MT5 and TradingView plus copy trading, and TradingView is where I do most of my charting, so I am executing from the same screen I analyse on. The minimum deposit is low, which matters if you want to size up slowly rather than commit a large balance to a broker you have not stress tested yourself. VT is regulated by ASIC and FSCA.
How we get paid (straight up)
Yes, the desk earns a commission if you fund through the broker links on this page, at no extra cost to you. The difference between this and most best broker lists is simple: a real macro desk stands behind it, trades these brokers with real money, and shows you the results. The incentive is visible because the trades are public. We do not ask you to trust us blindly, we show you the trades.
The honest part: where I earn
If you open and fund an account through my VT Markets link, KenMacro earns a CPA commission. I am telling you that plainly because it changes how you should read this page. The thing that keeps me honest is that my desk’s trades are public. If I steered you toward a broker my desk did not actually trade, the gap between what I recommend and what I run would be visible. The incentive is aligned: I route my own real trades through the same broker I am pointing you to. That is the moat against faceless review sites that have never placed a trade through any of the brokers they rank.
Why VT and not the others
Blueberry Markets is my sitewide editor’s choice and a genuinely strong all-rounder, ASIC regulated under AFSL 535887, with MT4, MT5, TradingView and cTrader, raw spreads, fast execution and support that actually responds. If you want the safe default pick, Blueberry is it. VT is what my specific desk routes through for execution and the multi-asset spread profile I described. They are both good. The difference is that VT is the one carrying my live size. Star Trader is the option I point to when leverage is the priority, up to 1:1000 with a roughly fifty dollar minimum. It is offshore, so the regulatory protection is lighter, and I would not put a core balance there. Pick the broker that fits how you trade, not the loudest banner.
Read this before you fund anything
VT Markets does not accept UK clients. If you are in the UK, this broker is not available to you and you should look at the editor’s choice instead. Broker offers, spreads, platforms and regulatory status can change, and the levels and results my desk posts are a snapshot of one period, not a promise about the next. Trading leveraged products carries real risk and you can lose more than you intend if you size wrong. Do your own checks on regulation and suitability before you deposit. I am showing you what my desk does, not telling you what yours should do.

Which broker does the KenMacro desk actually trade?
The desk trades through VT Markets. I route real positions through it for raw multi-asset spreads across FX, metals, oil and indices, plus MT4, MT5 and TradingView execution under ASIC and FSCA regulation.

Yes. KenMacro earns a CPA commission if you open and fund through my broker links. I disclose it openly, and because my desk’s trades are public you can see I route my own money through the same broker I recommend.

No. VT Markets does not accept UK clients. If you are in the UK, look at Blueberry Markets, my editor’s choice all-rounder, which is ASIC regulated under AFSL 535887.
Is VT Markets regulated?
Yes. VT Markets is regulated by ASIC and FSCA. Regulatory status can change, so confirm the current position for your region before you fund an account.
Why not just recommend the editor’s choice broker?
Blueberry Markets is my editor’s choice and a strong all-rounder. VT is the broker my specific desk routes live trades through for its multi-asset spread and platform profile. Both are good picks for different priorities.
What if I want high leverage?
Star Trader is the high-leverage option, up to 1:1000 with a roughly fifty dollar minimum on MT4 and MT5. It is offshore with lighter protection, so I would use it for a small account rather than a core balance.
